The Undergraduate Dissertation (UD) is a compulsory subject to obtain the official degree. Its main objective is the demonstration by the student of the mastery and application of the knowledge, competencies and skills acquired during its degree. It is an autonomous and original work that each student will carry out under the guidance of a tutor.
English modalities
Monograph
The student must request it from the Faculty, within the period indicated (visit main page) and through a procedure enabled in the sede-ugr. However, you must have previously contacted a tutor that proposal a UD in English and whose subject you are interested in from the following list (list of tutors and monograph topics), from which you must request the following digitally signed form (TFG agreement model, monograph and others).
Others
In the CICODE UD and UGR-Entrepreneur case, the procedures and deadlines are special and the student must contact the professors who offer them (see list) and with these institutions as soon as possible.
In the case of double degree ADE-Law students more prerequisites are needed, please contact the coordinator of your grade for full assistance.
Evaluation
The UD will be assessed according to the following parameters and the weighting indicated:
- Tutored follow-up of the UD: 10%
- Delivery and contents of the report: 60% (The evaluation of the memory available for each type of UD will be weighted by 0.6)
- Public exposition of the UD: 30%
The evaluation of the UD, including the public exposition session, is under the regulations for the evaluation and grading of students at the UGR. Thus, if the UD report has been delivered and the mandatory requirement of public exposition is not met, as the report represents more than 50% of the weighting of the final evaluation of the UD, it must appear with the assessment of "fail" with the numerical grade of the evaluation rubric of the report if it is less than 5 or the numerical grade of 4 in other cases. If the report has not been delivered, it must appear as "not presented".
In all UD modalities, the delivery and contents will be evaluated by the tutor considering the report, following the evaluation system of the didactic guides. Available both on the bachelor’s degree website and on the faculty’s website.
If the tutor recommends the grade of Matricula de Honors, it will be mandatory to defend said UD before a Tribunal in a public session and will last a maximum time of 15 minutes (presentation by the student), which may be followed by a debate of up to 15 minutes. The Tribunal must evaluate the delivery and contents of the TFG (6 points maximum) as well as the defense (3 points maximum) and add the grade of the tutor with respect to the Tutored Follow-up of the TFG (1 point maximum).
