Students coming under agreements with School of Business and Economics are required to choose courses from School of Business and Economics and are not permitted to take courses from other Schools/Faculties (except Beginners' Swedish).

Full time studies for one semester are 30 credits.

Students must fulfill the prerequisites for all courses they apply for and are admitted to courses on a first come, first served basis, based on the application date.

The possibilities to switch courses after the application is processed are limited and there is no add/drop period after arrival to Linnaeus University.

Specific Information for First level (Undergraduate) students

Freestanding courses and courses with basic or prerequisites for up to one semester's previous studies are only offered at Campus Kalmar

At Campus Växjö only full semester courses are offered and students are required to take the complete 30 credit course (not possible to choose/delete specific modules of the course). These courses are for students who want to study focused specializations and they have specific prerequisites, requiring 60-90 credits of previous studies in the subject in question. Students can only study one full-semester course of 30 credits per semester. If students cannot take any of the complete 30 credit courses, they must apply for single-subject courses at campus Kalmar.

Students staying a full year with us in Växjö cannot combine "Organization and Management studies" (2FE080) and "Management and Entrepreneurship in a Glocal Context" (2FE081) during the year since there is an overlap between these courses.

We deeply appreciate your help in assisting your students to choose courses where they fulfill the prerequisites and that are eligible for credit transfer after the exchange. Instructions about how to apply for courses will be sent with the application information to the students.

RULES FOR ADDITIONAL SWEDISH LANGUAGE COURSES FOR STUDENTS AT THE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS

Students taking single subject courses: 30 credits of courses at the School of Business and Economics + Beginners's Swedish as an extra course (37,5 credits total) OR 22,5 credits of courses at the School of Business and Economics + one beginners' Swedish course for 30 credits total (this last option is only possible in Kalmar or on the master's level)

Students taking full semester courses: Students are required to take the full course (30 credits) from the School of Business and Economics, but may add Beginners' Swedish as an extra course (37,5 credits total).

There is also a non-credit Introductory Swedish for International Students offered that students may choose as an extra course.
